Hello, I bought a refurbished Dell desktop pc last
summer, and it came with Microsoft XP allready
installed. My problem now is that I'm getting a new
motherboard, and was told that I would have to reinstall
my OS. As I said allready, I don't have a cd to do the
reinstallation, so if I do have to reinstall, how would I
go about it?

I tried to find an e-mail address for Microsoft's
customer support, but all I found were phone numbers for
computer companies, and nothing for MS. I would really
appreciate any help that you can give me.

Scott.

You need to speak with Dell. They can either provide you with the OEM
media your machine was installed with or you will have to buy retail media
from a local retailer to use on the machine. Dell should give you media or
a way to reinstall your OS however.
