System Shut down error

I purchased a new P.C. that is pre loaded with Windows XP
for the office. Shortly after "boot up" - I receive the
following error: "System Shutdown initiated by: NT
Authority/System" followed by: "Remote Procedure Call
terminated". Then the system "shuts down" a minute later.

Can anyone out there help me?

hi you have the new w32 blaster worm which kicks in the minute you go on
line. if you have antivirus software update it and run scan or go here and
get the patch which will help and the info aswell

If your computer is constantly attempting to shutdown
or reboot, quickly go to:

Start > Run and type: shutdown -a , and hit enter.

This should halt the rebooting problem.

Then immediately turn-on Windows XP's built-in Firewall:
