I have Win XP Home edition along with MS IE 6 browser. Im
using AOL 7.0 also, which by default uses the IE6 browser
also. The last few days, Ive been getting the same exact
2 popup (full screen) ads on my computer. I cannot figure
out what is going on. One of them says "Counter -
Microsoft Internet Explorer" and the other one
says "http://www.top-banners.com/dbgo/frame.php?
url=http://www.wefinditfast.com/adserver.php&up ..."
These never used to come up at all before. I have been
using a free program called "pop up stopper" and just d/l
mozilla to use as my browser (but remember AOL uses IE6
when Im logged onto AOL). Can someone please give me any
ideas as to how to stop these 2 from popping up? If I go
into IE and set my Security from Medium to High, they
stop coming up, but I see the screen flicker as they want
to try and pop up. Ive always had my security at medium,
but when i change it to High, I have to hit enter at each
page on a website for the security warning active-x
control thing. Any advice/help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
