why do i keep upgrading my virus protection through
norton? They cannot help me throught his...what's the
point.....i have w32.blaster.worm and they tell me they
can't help?

You have it because you did not install a Critical Update from
Microsoft:
DISCONNECT the subject computer from any network IMMEDIATELY.
VERY IMPORTANT to repair, closing ports is NOT enough.
Download the patch from the Windows Catalog.

After this is resolved prevent similar occurrances by installing ALL
Critical Updates from Windows Update.
Keep antivirus up to date and run at least weekly.
Instasll or enable a firewall.
