Patch did not work

I had to download the patch onto a disk on another
computer because I could not stay connected long enough
and then installed it...It did not work..Now What????

The patch only stops infection/re-infection. You need to remove the worm
from your system:

You have to remove the worm and enable the XP firewall on the advanced
tab on your connectoid.

Lot of crocked advice going around tonight.
