I recently upgraded my HP Pavilion PC to Windows XP Professional.
Everything was working fine for a few months until I started up one day
and received an "expired password" dialog box. It asked for my user
name, old password, new password and verification of new password.
When I did this it gave error message "incorrect user id or password. I
cannot get it to accept. Tried to boot up from install disk - no go.
Cannot request online help, as they want the product id, which is found
once in the system, and I can't get in system. I have the product key on
the install disk.

Locked out - please help!
