logging on with explorer

after recovering from msblast virus,

could someone kind enough please help me.

when i start internet explorer before, it would prompt me
to log on to the net. now it just says page not found.
i've tried changing connection settings, but that didn't
seem to work.

i think it's got something to do with scheduler? cos it
would usually log me onto the net to automatically scan
for windows updates.
