I installed XP over a Windows NT installation - to a
different location. Is there a way to back out the XP
installation completely if I do not want to use it ?
Thanks

Hi,

there is no way to back out after overwriting an existing
installation. if you want to revert you will have to back
up the existing data, then format the Hard disk and then
reinstall windows nt installation.

Hi, T.

Your post is ambiguous. Did you install XP "over" NT, thereby wiping out
NT? Or did you install XP to a different folder, a different volume, a
different HD??? What is a "location" in this context?

If you "upgraded" NT and wound up with XP only, then see M. Rajesh's
response. If you installed XP into a different volume and ended up with a
dual-boot system (NT and XP), then post back and we can help. Please give
us more details than in your first post: how many hard drives and how are
they partitioned, for example.
