I have a stack fault error in module KERNEL32.DLL at
016f:bff7429f.

I am a rookie computer user. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME TIPS
ON WHAT THIS ERROR MEANS AND HOW TO FIX IT.. I AM SO
FRUSTRATED.

What version of Windows are you using?

What program are you working in when this error message appears? Does the
error message appear when you do a specific series of steps or does its
appearance seem to be random? Is this a new program that was recently
installed? Is it a program marked as "okay" to use with WinXP?

If the errors seem more random (not confined to one program), was software
installed recently that may have added a new item to your startup group.
These items often get added without your knowledge when you install new
software. Periodically check the MS System Configuration tool to see if
anything new is added. Disable if it is not needed.

Kernel32 errors are not as common in XP as they were in Win9x/ME. Usually a
program needs updating - or - there is some spyware on the system - or -
the display drivers need updating.

Adaware from www.lavasoftusa.com can be used to check for and remove
spyware.
