After losing two days of my computer found out the
upgrades that appear on the computer don't take the place
of visiting ms. Playing catchup I found out I dont have
a Set process? icon under my Control icon. Don't really
remember if I had one or not, but have no idea what to do
to get it again or if the download to beef it up will
make one appear.

The Set Program Access and Defaults icon was originally added by Service
Pack 1 for Windows XP. A prerequisite for installing the 820291 update is
having Service Pack 1 already installed. You can use Start> Run> and type
in winver to bring up a screen with version information about your Windows
setup. This screen will mention Service Pack 1 if it is installed.
