Data file types don't depend on the OS - eg an Excel file created in ME
will open on Excel in XP. What file are you copying?

Copy it to what? How will you access the file in Windows Me?
If you copy to a diskette or CD, there's no problem; you open it
like a file on any other diskette or CD. If you copy it to a hard
drive, and Me will try to get it across a network, also no
problem.
The only potential problem is if you copy it to an NTFS hard
drive and you try to open it under Me running on the same
computer. You can *not* do that.
