I have moved my hard drive from my computer to my friend's
computer. My hard drive is dynamic disk which contains
only 1 dynamic volumn. After I have pluged it, I open Disk
Management to import it to my friend's computer but I have
clicked in wrong command that is "Convert to Basic Disk".
After that the Windows say my hard drive is unallocated.
It contains a lot of my critical data. How can I recover
it back? Do I need another software to recover the data?

Thank you,

The process of converting a dynamic disk to basic blows away all partition
information. Although there are no tools included in XP to help you get
those files back, you *might* be able to recover them using data recovery
software. Prices and quality vary. May also want to look into professional
data recovery services.
