I upgraded my workstation from Windows 2000 to Windows XP
and everything works great, except for User Right
Assignments in the Local Security Policy. When I try to
change a user right assignment, the change appears to take
effect, but when you reload the console the old assignment
is there and not the new one. I am able to change
everything else within the Local Security Policy just
fine. I have also tried to change the User Right
Assignments many ways, which include gpedit.msc and
Secuirty Configuration and Analysis MMC Console. Any
advice would be great. Since I upgraded from Windows
2000, my system root in WINNT and not Windows, I am not
sure if that has anything to do with it.
