restore

Need some help:

I cannot use the "restore" program on my PC. Whenever I
attempt to use it, it goes through the entire process,
then shows a message "cannot restore to this date". It
also does not allow me to undo my last restore from two
months ago. I have the program on the maximum setting.

Does anyone have any advice you can offer me on how to
use this program effectively?
