trying to download & get error message - service pack 1
setup could not verify the integrity of the file. make
sure cryptographic service is running. have checked is
running restarted but same message

There are a few things you can check:

1. Make sure cryptographic services are in fact running on the machine.
2. Boot into safe mode and rename catroot2 folder and then try to reinstall
3. Check for the existance of any kind of virus

Joseph,

Many users are reporting that this method doesn't work for them. One user
said that when it failed, the following worked.

Start, Run and entere regsvr32 wintrust.dll

He said it worked successfully on 2 machines.
