Password timed out

I have just realized that a new xp pro laptop is requiring a password to
print?
The same password that is used for logon worked. But apparently this
password
times out. How do I make it unnecessary for printing? And how do I keep it
from
timing out? This is a very secure situation here and no need for that level
of security.
