View Full Version : update.inf

Hi. Running updates and patches now for the worm I get the
error message that the integrity to the update.inf file
cannot be verified. Please check the cryptographic
services are running.
They are running automatically. When running another
update file, it appears the update.inf is missing or not
where it should be. The updates will not run to completion.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.

Although this article was written with SP1 in mind, a corrupt database in
the catroot folder can cause the problem for many updates.

If Tom's advice doesn't work, another user has reported that the following
will.
Click Start, Run and enter regsvr32 wintrust.dll then click ok. Note the
space between regsvr32 and wintrust.dll
