Hello All:
I am just as sick and tired of this crap from MS and
Windows as you are. I have people calling me up and asking
me to help them. First of all no matter what Windows you
are running, 95/98/98SE/Millenium/XP/2000, it is your
responsibility as a owner of Windows to consistantly do a
Windows Update on a regular basis, meaning keep up to date
with patches, critical updated, recommended updates and
keep it set to Automatic so Windows will let you know that
there updates to get. If you have an antivirus program
running on your pc, are you keeping up to date with all
the new virus definitions coming out all the time? Are you
getting all the updates on a regular basis, do you have
your antivirus program set to automatic? If you have a
firewall running such as ZoneAlarm for high speed users,
is it enabled all the time?
If you have answered yes to all or some of these
questions, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you do
not want to be bothered with updating, go get a MAC, they
do not have the problems that Windows has. Otherwise, make
sure you are doing your updates on a regular basis and I
do mean regular basis. Don;t come crying to MS and saying
it is their problem, you should be keeping your machine
virus free by keeping it updated all the time. Windows
Update, Virus Protection updates and firewall updates.
