Cryptographic service.....W32.blaster.worm virus........

Hi

Can anyone please tell me how to find out if the cryptographic services are
running on my laptop.
As I have the W32.blaster.worm virus and when trying to install the patch
for this I get the error coming up below

" Setup could not verify the integrity of the file update .inf. make sure
the cryptographic services are running on this computer"
