XP updates

I have XP on a Toshiba 1955-5805. Do you have an update
that you can send me, via snail mail, on disc that will
negate the latest worms and viruses??

I'm writing this note on a Mac computer because I am afraid
to get on the internet with my windows based computer.

Glenn,

On your Toshiba laptop, you can disable the automatic shutdown by doing the
following:

As soon as your computer reboots and Windows loads, click Start, then Run.
In the box, type the following:

shutdown -a (then click OK)

This should buy you time to get your fixes and updates installed.
