firewall problems

I am trying to enable the firewall on my computer. I have
Microsoft XP. Everytime I click on the enable button it
sends me an error message that reads "An error has
occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was enabled.
The dependency service or group failed to start." Now
what do I do?

Go to Start >Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Select "Normal Startup", apply and reboot.

Then go back and configure the firewall.

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: FIREWALL , and hit enter.
Click on the topic titled "Enable or Disable Internet Connection =
Firewall".
