If I enable Windows XP's firewall, will I still be able to receive NAV
LiveUpdate notifications?

Should. The firewall doesn't monitor outgoing requests. The LiveUpdate
program will initiate a request to symantec to check for updates. That
transaction will be viewed as "allowed" and the return results should be
allowed too.

Yep! I am using XP's firewall, and NAV's Liveupdates work just fine.
