Well, it rather depens on what you mean by "everything"! If you mean
should you install the Windows XP patch, YES.

WHY would you even consider disconnecting [sic] your firewall? (I assume
you mean disabling it, unless it is a hardware firewall.) Do you
actually want problems to arise in the future?
