Fast user switching.

I can't start fastuser switching or Terminal services on
my XP professional. At one time it was working but, I
can no longer get it to start. The Event viewer just
shows the following error.

The Fast User Switching Compatibility service depends on
the Terminal Services service which failed to start
because of the following error:
Fast User Switching Compatibility is not a valid Win32
application.
