system shuts down- at secure web sites. rpc terminates.

hello
i am sathya, rgistered with xp home edition. last week. I
was using this since 2 years. i had to format this time
my hard disk. after I reloaded my system doesn't stays
long in internet using dial up. automatically after 2
minutes it shuts down with a message RPC terminated
initiated by nt authority/system . why this is so?

please clarify. My xp is a legal purchased software. Got
registered also last time. this time I just activated it.
