You can use print screen and then open paint and hit "control+V" or download
ScreenHunter from here(it's free):

Van,
If you hold down on the Alt key and then press the PrtSc to save the
current window that is highlighted. If you want to take a screen shot of
the entire screen, then hold down on the Ctrl and then press PrtSc.

Van:
After taking a screen Shot as Mike stated, go to Start, run, and type in
mspaint, enter. When paint opens, go to Edit and click on Paste. The screen
shot will then be displayed, and you can save it as a JPEG with the title
you want. I hop this helps.

Greetings --
Pressing the <PrtScn> key copies the entire display to the
clipboard. Pressing <ALT>+<PrtScn> copies only the active Window to
the clipboard. To view the screen capture, open a graphics program,
such as MS Paint, and press <CTRL>+V. This will paste the contents of
the clipboard (your screenshot) into the open file, and allow you to
view it or save it as a file for later use.

Thank You Bruce, I personally was not aware That you could also paste onto a
another program. I learned something new today. Not a wasted day after
all.:0)

You have been told by many how to take a ScreenShot and/or Screen Capture so
I will not repeat their stuff except to say that most of what I capture is
just text so I just open up Notepad and paste it there. Paint is not the
easiest tool to use!
