SPAM following blaster worm patch download

What to do? I thought I was preventing problems by
downloading the patch for the blaster worm. As soon as I
completed the download and ran the tool, I was flooded by
spam mail.

Please advise.

Phill,

The blaster worm and spam mail are not related. It may be a different worm but mostly worms send email out not send
email in.
