Jeff,

This was a worm that was/is spread via Internet
connections and not the usual email route.

It exploited a known security issue in Windows XP/2000/NT.

You MUST have:

Up to date Antivirus Protection
A fire wall installed
Up to date patches from the windows update website

These are the very minimum you should be doing!

If you have problems installing the MS patch that
resolves the worm issue read:

If you need a FREE firewall try:

And if you have been hit by the now variant Sobig Worm
