I deleted this file after I received a message from a
well intentioned associate. I then got a follow up
message indicating that this message is a hoax and if I
delete the indicated files you will harm the operating
system. I did delete the file so do I need to restore it
and if so, does anyone know how I do that?

Thanks

You should ALWAYS verify any virus warning thruogh anyone of the many
Anti-Virus websites. Many virus's ( such as the one you got ) will infect a
system, then send copies of itself to people listed in address books. Your
"Well intentioned" friend may not have even known the warning was sent to
you.
