How to prevent a message about a computer shutting down appearing? The
computer shuts down because of Remote Procedure Call stopping. The message
appears after some time of internet connection.

Am I infected already or not? Will installing the Security Bulletin MS03-026
patch be enough or should I also use a removal tool?

We can't see into your machine, but it does appear as if the worm is
there and needs to removed. The patch only prevents it from getting
into your computer. This is why Microsoft released the patch in July
well before there were problems.
