Problems with Windows updates

Last night I decided to download and install some
updates, including the service pack and the security
update which refers to the blaster worm. I finally got
the service pack in (took forever) then couldn't get the
computer to reboot (after 5 or 6 tries) to do the rest.
Finally got it going again, now it seems to reboot
quicker (yaaaaay) but keeps locking up to where I have to
pull the power cord and start over. It does this
frequently in any program, including trying to work with
windows update. This morning I gave up in frustration
and downloaded and installed ONLY the security update
referring to the blaster worm. It was working FINE
before I downloaded and installed the service pack, so
what should I do NOW?????

Hi Kay

Have a look in the Windows Update.log file - which is in the Windows =
folder - for any error numbers. If you find any go to the following =
page and see if those error numbers are referenced:
