how do i determine if my home pc is 64-bit or 32-bit? i
have xp pro

If you paid around $15,000.00 (US) for a computer that is running with a
high-end Itanium processor, then you likely have 64-bit. If not, you have
32-bit.

It's 32 bit. Use this version of the updates.
If you need to check this further, go to the following website and look on
Line 258, right column. Click the VBS file to download. Double click the
downloaded file to run.

It is highly likely to be 32 bit.
64 bit is only used with Itanium 2
processors. You would have purchased such a system with a purpose in mind
such as high end automobile or aircraft design that requires the processing
power. It would have been a special order you placed and you would be
totally aware that you had a 64 bit system.
