Windows Updates

prior to today the only windows update I had was the
service pack 1. Today I installed all of the available
critical and recommended updates (quite a few). However,
I forgot to disable my antivirus prior to the downloads.
Will this harm my computer, or make it unstable? After
several crashes in the past I remember a Dell rep saying
somthing about having to disable the antivirus.

No this should not pose a problem for you.
