Re the second part, lower your security level in your
outlook mail program, it is probably set higher than it
needs to be. Had the same problem with a computer
running 98, lowered the securtiy level to internet
standard and OE problem and not accessing attachments
stopped. The price you have to pay to have a higher
security level, it will stop most attachments being read.
