hi guys, been trying to get group policies going in xp all
day and its just NOT WORKING!
heres the deal.
Setup a script to connect users to network printers, the
script (VBS) works fine.
but as soon as I setup a COMPUTER STARTUP script, the
script runs (I've tested) but once I login, with ANY user
the printers are not available. When I setup USER LOGIN
scripts they work fine!!! HELP!!!!

You are trying to define printers for users.
That is done in the context of the user account.
Startup scripts run in the context of the System.
You are not wanting to make printers available
to the System account.

hi, but I want to make all users see a specific printer.
I'm at a college so users continually change pc's, all
users on a specific machine will always use only one
printer. how do I automate this procedure then?
