Desktop displayed as a webpage

Hi I just recieved my new notebook from sony vaio with
windows xp professional on it. Now i've had this problem
before and fixed it with previous versions of windows.
But i just can't find it on xp. basically my problem is
the computer came with the desktop displayed as a webpage
this annoys the hell out of me and i want to know how the
hell to get it so my icons require two clicks of the
mouse and not one.

Try right-click on desktop, then Properies/Desktop/Customize Desktop/Web

In Windows Explorer go to Tools, Folder Options, General tab and check the
option there for single or double click.

no dude ur way off thats how you display a web page on
your desktop like a wallpaper
