Backup Data

I have a Windows XP Pro Hard drive that will not boot. I
need to grab the documents off of a user on that hard
drive. I installed it into another computer making the
hard drive a slave, but I keep on getting Access Denied.
How can I get that data? So I can safely do a Clean
install
