XP installation problems

I installed a new motherboard and hard drive on my
computer. During the load of Windows XP Home Edition,I
encountered "file ntfs is corrupted". Multiple attempts
resulted in the same error code. I wrote zeros to my
entire hard drive to make sure it wasn't the problem. My
XP Cd Rom is the original that came with the software
purchase. BIOS looks OK to my limited knowledge. Am
completely stumped! Any assistance would be GREATLY
appreciated. Thanks! Bill
