Hi,

I am having att comcast broadband internet connection at home(Gateway
computer with Windows XP OS.).
Broadband connection is supposed to be there 24 X 7.
While I am using my computer ,I get good speed and every thing looks fine.
However when I do not use my computer or
do not use the internet connection for some time, my internet connection
does not seem to work. I had to reboot my computer to again start using the
internet. This is happening
sometimes even if I do not use my computer for a couple of hours and it is
really frustrating.

Did any body face the same kind of problem. Any suggestion to resolve this
problem are greatly appreciated.

I tried the following,

Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Network Connections >> right click on
Locall... >> Properties >> Configure (select adapter connected to
broadband) >> Power management >> uncheck Allow... >> OK

Still not working.

can any one help me.

Expecting an quick response for this problem.

Thanks,.

Run "netstat -a" from the command line and see what you're connected to when
the connection stops working.
