I recently had to reload all my software on a new hard
drive, due to a S.M.A.R.T. failure.

Now, everytime I start Internet Explorer 6, the text on
the screen is HUGE!! I go to "View", then "Text Size",
and then select "Smaller". The problem is temporarily
fixed, but when I exit out of IE, and later go back in,
the problem reoccurs.

This also happens in the Help screens in Office. The
input boxes on webpages also has this problem. Any
suggestions?

One thing you can try is to go to your display properties (right click on
your desktop and select properties). Select the Settings tab, the click on
Advanced. Under the General tab is a font selection box. By default, it
should be on small fonts. If it is, then I would suggest looking around in
there to see if there are more settings for fonts.
