How do I allow a Limited User to install their games -
i.e. kids.
If I install a game for them using my (admin) account,
the limited accounts can not acces the game to play it.
please help thanks

Depending on the game, but Limited Users can't write to program files.=20
1. Install somewhere they have permission to access.
2. Change security on the application directory (games like to write =
here) to allow limited users write permissions.
Type=20
Folder permissions
in help to see how.
3. These games are not designed to run with XP else they'd work for =
limited users. What you need to do is remove the security restrictions =
for limited users just for that game. The game shouldn't be writing to =
the program's directory, this has been a rule for a long time but is =
enforced on NT based systems whereas 9x allows programmers to get away =
with it, so they did..
What I've mentioned above is the most common security restriction that =
prevents programs from running. There are others.

If your game or application works with admin accounts, but not with
limited accounts, you can fix it to allow limited users to access the
program files folder with "change" capability rather than "read" which
is the default.
C:\>cacls "Program Files\appfolder" /e /t /p users:c
where "appfolder" is the folder where the application is installed.
If you wish to undo these changes, then run
C:\>cacls "Program Files\appfolder" /e /t /p users:r
If you still have a problem with running the program or saving settings
on limited accounts, you may need to change permissions on the registry
keys. Run regedit.exe and go to HKLM\Software\vendor\app, where
"vendor\app" is the key that the software vendor used for your specific
program. Change the permissions on this key to allow Users full control.
