The firewall asks daily "NDIS user mode I/O driver is
trying to connect to "192.168.100.1" or "0.0.0.0." Is
this safe?

It sounds like you must be running a router, which the IP address is likely
192.168.100.1. Otherwise it is trying to connect to some other computer or
device on your local network. Is that ok with you? If so, then it is
probably safe.
