I have 4 computers networked together and everthing works fine.
All are xp. For the sake of naming I will refer them as 1-4.
Computer 1 is the main computer, mine, with limited access allowed
from 2 and 3, ( afew shared folders)
computers 2 and 3 are the kids and I have limited access to them
I want to have full admin rights to computer 4.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get comp1 to be an admin
in comp 4.
I have tried mmc, and administrative tools . I can see where to add
the computer(1) in comp4's group but everthing I try it won't take.
Can some one please walk me through this? (I am not a newbie to
computing but am new to networking the house)
what started all this is a program that resides on comp1(server) and
comp 4 (workstation) that can work over the network but everytime I
try to run the prog from comp 2 through 1, I get a message stating
"you must be a member of the local admin group"
TIA
