I would like to know what registry setting I can use to to
keep users from turning off autoupdates. Keep it
automatically checking.
Thanks,
Dave

You can do this by removing access to My Computer, Properties. Click
Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explore
r
Right click in the right pane and select New, DWord value and name it
NoPropertiesMyComputer Double click the value you just created and set it
to 1 (one). This is a per user setting, and needs to be repeated on each
User's Desktop that you wish to have this restriction in place for. To ease
this task, see www.dougknox.com, Win XP Tips, Advanced Registry Editing.
