I have picked up an unwanted toolbar on my system through
the net and I cannot figure out how to delete it. Any
help out there?

Where do you find the toolbar actually?

Hi Cal,

The toolbar in Internet Explorer was most likely installed through some ad
software that was either installed with another piece of software, or when a
webpage attempted to install the software on your system (so they could make
a profit) and someone clicked the yes button granting it permission to
install.

In Internet Explorer, right click on one of the main toolbars (File, Edit,
View, etc. menus or the standard buttons-- stop, back, etc.) and uncheck the
toolbar you don't want to see.

Now I would suggest downloading Ad Aware 6 from
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ . Once installed and open,
have it check for and download any updates and then perform a thorough scan
on your system for spyware. If it finds any, you can right-click in the
area where it lists the offending software and choose 'select all objects'
and then tell it to remove them. After the software is cleaned up I would
suggest rebooting.
