Display the Show Desktop icon

Hello I have a friend who wishes to have the Show Desktop button in the
Quick Launch toolbar (which was installed by default in my computer).

Is there a way to create or find this command and add it to the Quick
Launch. I know there are many "faster" ways to display the desktop, like
Windows+D, but the gentleman want's to have it accessible from the Taskbar's
Quick Launch.
