View Full Version : Installing XP

I had XP installed in a lap top and decided that I
preferred it the way it was running on Win 98.

I took it out of the lap top and want to install in my
desk top, which I have improved in performance.

It will not let me do this and I get error # 577FF58h

Any ideas anyone please?

Did the laptop come with XP preinstalled? If so it is likely an OEM that is
tied to the laptop and cannot be installed on another system.
