how do i determine which xp i have - it is professional
but how do i tell how many bits it has in order to select
the correct download?

Hi,
You have 32-bit. Those with the 64-bit version know what they have. This is
not meant to be a slight.

If you have to ask,it is 32bit.
You would know if you had the 64bit version (which only runs on IA64 ie
Itanium and Itanium II processors) by the light feeling in your wallet.
If you download the wrong version you will get a "not a valid win32
application" message when you try to run the patch.
