When I start my computer I get a message that says:
"A duplicate name exists on the network"
What does this mean and do I need to do anything about it?
Thanks.
Also why is my previous post on this on Sept. 10 greyed
out?

Tom;
Your other post looks OK to me.
Here is the answer again.
That message usually means there is another computer on your network
with the same name.
Right click My Computer, click Properties.
Click Computer Name.
Click "Change" by "To rename this computer..."
Change the name.
