View Full Version : Can't get rid of virus! File Not Accesible!

the file is probably not acessible becasue it's in use.
although when u've downloaded common viruses they copy
themselves in windows\system32.
try this.. go to that directory the file is in,
next run msconfig from start menu -> run, and browse
throught the list of apps that load when starting
windows... 99% of viruses load from one of those menus.
if u find a link to that file u can't delete disable or
delete that line. also u could press CTRL+ALT+DEL , go to
processes, make sure 'show processes from all users' is
ticked, look for the file name u want to delete and end
process, then delete it.

1. open a command prompt window (start / run and type cmd)

2. kill explorer.exe
download pskill from www.sysinternals.com and unzip it in WIndows/sytem32

3. type del /F "c:\documents and settings\brandon\local
settings\temp\brj183.tmp" at command prompt. it will force the delete of the
file.
